BooginHead SippiGrip
When Monkey was a baby, I’d take her for runs and walks with our jogging stroller. She had a favorite teether we had to take with us. But, her flailing little arms would inevitably toss the little toy out of the stroller, and I’d have to backtrack to collect it. Similarly, she had a lot of good times dropping bottles or cups from her highchair. I needed some kind of strap to tether these items to her stroller or highchair. It needed to be long enough to let her use her cup or play with her toy, but short enough that it would still be useable after she inevitably jettisoned the tethered object.
![]() The BooginHead SippiGrip is one of the most covertly genius items getting us through babyhood. Pacifier straps are widely available, in various styles, for pacifiers and other things with little handles. The SippiGrip, while still great for things with handles (think teethers), is also a rockstar at holding things with no handles. As their promotional picture demonstrates, this SippiGrip can be wrapped around oddly shaped toys, cups, and bottles. The inner layers of the wrap have a patch of grippy fabric sewn on, so that even cups covered in condensation won’t slip loose. The other end has a simpler Velcro loop, for attaching it to a highchair, carseat, or stroller. The strap in between is adjustable, so you can make it exactly the length you require. Do you absolutely need this brilliant tether system? Of course not. But if you’re willing to pay $5-$8 to regain a bit of sanity, this product is just what you need. I would absolutely recommend the SippiGrip to a mom with a baby, or give it at a shower. If you’re into building gift baskets that are as stunning as they are useful, you should definitely include this in any collection for a shower or hospital basket. I personally have the gray and white chevron patterned strap, but it also comes in 20 other colors. I give this product five stars. Ariel’s Two Cents: I could not agree more! This strap truly is “covertly genius!” I was given three BooginHead SippiGrips when the Bean was pre-sippy cup. All three of them ended up on my jogging stroller tethering various toys within easy reach. Now during long runs when her Wubby decides to go bungee-jumping I no longer have to stop, backtrack, bend down and pick up said daredevil only to rerun the entire scenario again in a quarter mile - if I am lucky. The SippiGrips did such a good job of restoring my sanity on outings that I forgot their original purpose. That is until I read Brianna’s review. I may have to repurpose one of them for sippy cup duty!
